I'm back!

I really didn’t know how to re-start writing here since my first weeks of this New Year haven’t been the best ones. But, this week turned out to be a very good one, and now I’m in a good mood and really want to have a new start. I think all this “happy atmosphere” around me lately has appeared because January is about to end… And, of course! When January ends February, my favorite month, begins.

February It’s a really special month for me because of many reasons. The first one, is that I see my family more frequently because there are a lot of birthday celebrations (including mine). The second one was that my father used to take his vacations on February. When I was a kid I loved it because he used to take us to my grandmother’s house where I could play with my cousins and also we used to go to the swimming pool three or four times a week. My brother and I always got so tanned! I had great fun during those years! I have really good memories about the time when I was a kid and my father was younger. Those years were unique.

But, as the years passed, and as I grew up my Februaries changed too. My father changed his vacations month, and since then my brother and I used to stay more and more at home. I lost interest on going to the swimming pool but gained some other good ones, such as going to the gym, going to concerts, reading good books and listening to music while going out for a walk – especially in the evenings. I also started to study English so; I kept myself busy and didn’t see the change clearly.

Last year my February was really special. My cousin Karla helped me made my birthday cake and we had a lot of fun. The result was awesome and I felt really happy that everybody liked it. That day made my month.

I though this year, February wouldn´t be as good as the last one but I was wrong. It all will begin on February 1^st. That day I’m going to see a movie I wanted to see since 2009, Rashomon, an Akira Kurosawa movie. I saw some parts of that film when I took a subject called “Cine”, and now I will see the complete version of it. Then, On February 7^th it’s Within Temptation concert here in Lima. It’s going to be great to go to a concert after almost 2 years. And, a week after my birthday, along with some friends, I’m going to spend some days on the out of the city where we are going to celebrate some of my friend’s birthdays and also mine.

So, I’m really looking forward to the beginning of my favorite month. For me, February is the month where my New Year will really begin.
